    Pearson test of English or PTE is test of English skills. PTE academic is used by universities to measure reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills of students. PTE is computer-based test 2 hours test. It can be taken from test center or from home. Almost 3000 plus universities accept PTE.

    PTE Exam pattern:


    Part1: Speaking and Writing: This part is 54-67 minutes long. It contains seven question types. This part tests speaking and writing skills in academic environment. It starts with a personal introduction. The question types are:
    • Read Aloud
    • Repeat Sentence
    • Describe Image
    • Re-tell lecture
    • Answer short question
    • Summarize written text
    • Essay

    Part 2: Reading:  This part of exam is 29-30 minutes long. It contains five question types. This part tests reading and writing skills. The question types are:
    • Reading and Writing fill in the blanks
    • Multiple choice multiple answer
    • Re-order paragraphs
    • Fill in the blanks
    • Multiple choice single answer

    Part 3: Listening: This part of exam is 30-43 minutes long. It contains eight question types. A student will hear audio and video clips based on which questions are given.
    • Summarize spoken text
    • Multiple choice multiple answer
    • Fill in the blanks
    • Highlight correct summary
    • Multiple choice single answer
    • Select missing word
    • Highlight incorrect words
    • Write from dictation

    PTE Scores: PTE score ranges from 10-90. Each PTE Academic test has 20 question types. Each one is graded differently. Multiple choice answers are scored as either right or wrong, while scored for more complex question types like essay writing are based on many criteria. The student can send unlimited score reports for free by log in to the pte website. The PTE scores are valid for 2 years.

    Advantages of PTE:


    • It is a short test of 48hrs.
    • The results are available in 48 hrs
    • Secure test with live proctor.
    • Easy setup of exam and can be taken from home.

    Disadvantages:


    • Not all universities accept test taken from home.
    • The test is completely automated.

    • Visit pearsonpte.com
    • Create an account. Make sure your details match your passport
    • Select a date , time and type of test.
    • Make online payment of rs 14700 ( can change) and confirm the slot.
    The student can take PTE any number of times. The candidates can take exam again after their PTE results come typically after 5 days.

    Reschedule Policy:


    • You can reschedule your test date with no additional charge 14days before the test.
    • You will be charged 50% of the fee if you reschedule 8-13 days before the test.
    • You will have to pay full test fee if booking 7 days or fewer before the test.

    Cancellation policy:


    • You can cancel your test date and get full refund 14days before the test.
    • You get 50%  refund of the fee if you cancel  8-13 days before the test.
    • You will have no refund of test fee if cancel 7 days or fewer before the test.
