ETS: Nearly 100 Indian institutes recognize Graduate Record Examination

Top Indian Institutes such as IIMs, ISB, NALSAR, SP Jain, etc and about 150 Indian institutes are expected to accept GRE by this fiscal.
GRE is a standardized test widely accepted in US, Canada and many other countries for admissions into Masters, MBA, Business or Finance related Masters and Doctoral programs. GRE is a computer adaptive test; it tests student’s skills on Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning.
As per source from ETS, in 2021-22, about 1, 11,476 students have taken the GRE from India which is 68.1% compared to previous year. India is the second largest number of students taking the GRE after US. This is an evident sign of GRE growth in India.
GRE is now recognized by about a 100 Indian Institutes. As per the news, “More and more Indian institutes are accepting GRE scores,” Amit Sevak, President and Global Education CEO, ETS, told Moneycontrol.
As per the news article, some of the top Indian Colleges which would be accepting GRE by this fiscal are as follows,
- IIM Calcutta
- IIM Bangalore
- SP Jain (Mumbai)
- Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad
NALSAR, Hyderabad, and Reliance Jio Institute, Mumbai are a few more who have signed up with ETS.
